Sydney Naturopath and Nutritionist
Naturopathy is a Holistic Medicine, considering the mind and body to illicit lasting and sustainable changes. As a Naturopath, I use evidence based naturopathic medicine to bring the body back into balance.
In Naturopathy, your condition is not isolated from your body and treated as its own entity. Rather, your condition reflects the complex interplay between the body systems operating in parallel with each other. Therefore, my objective is to investigate and treat the root causes of your condition, rather than just mitigate the symptoms.
Nature’s best medicines; sunshine, water, fresh air, a good diet, adequate rest, and exercise are indispensable tools for maintaining health and wellness. However, due to our modern lifestyles and natural predispositions, we sometimes need additional support.
I work with my clients to establish the basis of optimal health, while breaking the cycle of chronic illness using evidence based herbal, nutritional and lifestyle medicine.
Nearly half of Australians live with one or more chronic health conditions. This percentage has been slowly increasing over the last 50 years. As a holistic and functional system of medicine, Naturopathy can address the nuances and individual nature of chronic conditions.
Fortunately, Naturopaths have an extensive toolkit that allows management, prevention, and in some cases remission from chronic conditions. It is a natural therapy that works in conjunction with conventional medicine, not against it. This ensures that you can receive the best possible care from your team of health professionals.

Generally speaking, your first few appointments may be some weeks apart, and become sparser as the treatment progresses and complaints improve. Your first follow-up may be 1-3 weeks after your initial, and future follow ups spaced out between 3-8 weeks, longer once you’ve entered a wellness / maintenance phase of your treatment. Any changes to your treatment plan / prescription may require a check-in within a few weeks to assess your response. Importantly, your preferences regarding the frequency of your appointments is always discussed and prioritised.
Your supplements will be ordered and posted out for you directly from the suppliers. This ultimately ensures the best possible price for you.
This depends on your situation, condition and preferences. Your budgetary requirements will be discussed and prioritised before recommending supplements. You may be prescribed a custom blend of liquid herbs, and / or pre-formulated or compounded herbal / nutritional supplements. The cost of these varies based on the ingredients. Importantly, note that you will never be charged above the recommended retail price.
Unfortunately, since 2019 Naturopathy has not been covered by private health insurance. I hope this will be amended in the near future. My clients will be informed if this occurs.
That depends entirely on the situation. By ‘testing, not guessing’, functional tests can save you time and money in the long run. Tests are only recommended when they will provide specific direction to your treatment plan. Essentially, when they will help you feel better, sooner.
The pace of improvement is individual and based on many factors: The chronicity and severity of your condition(s), your compliance to the treatment protocol, and individual factors. An approximate time frame to achieve your health goals will be discussed with you in your first few appointments
Notification of cancellation must be given at least 24 hours in advance, otherwise the full fee of the appointment may be charged. This is to allow sufficient time for the waitlist to notified of new availabilities.
